Charlie;

I had a similar experience to yours and reacted the same way.

I do not like wheeler-dealers, salesmen, and dishonest people. I have always thought if someone was not honest with others they should be avoided! Having an income is important for survival but being able to sleep at night is also important. Some people have a value system as an honest person and others have a value system of “what’s in it for me”? You meet many types of persons in life – some you embrace and others you stay away from.

Unless things have changed with the police, they will do nothing until a crime is committed. Making a threat was not a crime but shooting someone is. Typically the police react “after the fact”. Avoidance is not a part of police work. Again perhaps times have changed and the police may react differently to threats but people have not changed for the better.
