My VFP data classes extend the base VFP cursor classes, data environment and relations classes into a generic way of working with SQL Server via stored procedures. These little black boxes always know which SP to call, what parms to generate, how to deal with ODBC errors, protection from dirty writes, ect. They pretty much reduce things to calling the Update method of a cursor object and it figures out what to do.
