Did you check the version(date) of the comctl32.ocx as Readme suggests before you copied new one? The readme was written for Windows 9x standard installatin which has \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. WInd2K already has more recent version of that file and comctl32.ocx should be in WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory.
