I think if you just transfer the text that tells what the table is to a variable and transfer the text that tells the field likewise to a field name, then use both together and it will work, from what I understand of what you're doing.

lcField=THIS._Field
lcAlias=THIS._cAlias

lcValue=&lcAlias..&lcField.
