thans for ur reply, but i'd tested this method beforhands, and the problem is that it only works when u click on the menu bar, ie, when u activate it. other wise if for example it was disabled and u set the boolean variable to .T., it will be shown as disabled till clicking on it!!!! and it bothers user for sure....
