Thank you for the suggestion, but it doesn't seem to be working on my computer. In your test, did test.doc have the same font as what is default to your word application? If so, then I wouldn't notice a difference here either. In my example, my 'test.doc' has a font type of Courier New and my Word app has a default font of Times New Roman. In theory, the end user could have ANY font set as default, so I do need to code for this. Please let me know if you have any further ideas, and thanks again for your previous contribution.
