Ok,
My stupid question is why not let the report do totalling of the records in the dataset? With your example I would create a ACCOUNT group and reset the total on each group change. If you want the total for each account on a seperate or final page you can create a sub-report (Crystal) which is basically the same as your main report but with detail lines supressed.
