John, you are too much. You make a joke like that and feel that saying you are sorry is good enough. I try to understand what makes you tick. The only thing I can imagine is that you want to prove how superior you are to other mortals. When you try to do that through your accomplishments, we respect that, but you often do it by exploiting other people's errors and, less kindly, by putting putting them down. Is that what is called an attack at hominem? That probably often works for you because people get flustered and make more mistakes. It may actually be a natural for you in the courtroom where people are required to give an quick comeback. This is winning by intimidation. Does it get my respect, or that of others here? Not really.
