MS needs to develop a niche for VFP so it can be differentiated from their other tools in their product line.
<
Why does MS "need" to do this?
<<
Right now there seems to be a lot of overlapping functionality making it difficult to choose between products.
<<
This has been the case between VFP and VB for many years.
<<
In order to attract new customers, VFP needs to be identified in such a way that people can say: "Oh, to do that, VFP is your best choice".
<<
Here is a question, how many of these "customers" are already MS customers via MSDN? And, why would MS dream of steering people away from .NET if .NET is a feasible alternative? This would be absurd.
<
I predict this won't happen.
