There are literally hundreds of reasons why a table can become corrupted. However, it usually can be traced to hardware. There's an article on my website with a list of some of the most common causes.
>How does a table get corrupted whereby a record, that is not deleted, is only visible when set deleted is off. This happens randomly to old, existing records and also to new records. The only fix I know of, is to pack the file, until it rears its ugly head again.
