Agreed. I hope you'll agree that was a "holding pattern" that allowed us to say we wrote in "Visual Studio" rather than "Visual Foxpro", thereby papering over the cracks.
I'm trying to be blunt here rather than negative. It's so easy to be negative and to predict doom. We are not "doomed" but we certainly can't afford to be complacent either. MS needs to know we are aware, watchful and suspicious, we are not lulled to sleep by slogans.
