Consider the following:
1. If you are already fluent with nothing else but VFP
2. Just learning any of the .NET language
3. Productivity and Deliverables is of the essence
Then choose VFP/SQL Server. Only consider VB/SQL if you already know VB. IMO, we can't be productive with .NET the same as we are productive in VFP if we're just in the process of learning .net.
