When I say productivity it must be coupled with realibility. IMO, we can't produce reliable and quality app if we're just learning to use the language. While VS.Net is a productivity tool, it doesn't mean we can already produce quality product the same as we can in VFP with the assumption that we are acceptably fluent with it. As others are always saying, with .NET, there are thousands of classes to learn.
Actually, we are already 85% finished with VFP7/SQL Server app from the original VFP/VFP program. And we can't achieve this significant fast conversion if we use C#.Net.
