I tried your concept ... (Collapsing the range after each markentry) ...

My basic document has changed somewhat since this problem was first placed on this site so I cannot really comment on the effect of your idea.

However, my main problem now may be related to it ...

It seems that the TOC entries all accumulate just prior to the END OF SECTION marker. No matter where I put them in the section, they accumulate at the end of that section. Consequently, they all show up on the SAME PAGE within the Table of Contents.

I have gotten rather busy at the moment on a different project and cannot really spend a lot of time with this problem at the moment. I just thought I would throw this out in case you were interested enough to pursue it some.

If not, that is ok too and thanks for the help you have given me so far.

>Well, it's worth a try i guess. i can't test it here, but i think the markentry-statement puts its output after the range, and not in the range. I don't think the range will grow.
>So, for your first markentry it comes immediately after the range, your second comes also immediately after the range, but before the first markentry (which is not automatically included in the range). hznce, you'll first see the second statement and then the first.Expanding the range, including the first markentry, and then doing the second, should hopefully do the trick.
