My pc is win200 pro, I created the file in notepad and saved with extension INI, the system seems to assign certain attributes, that as you said need to be changed.

I tried with other INI from other people and the FILE() couldn't find it/them.

So, I tried changing the properties of the file and worked !

Thanks you !

? file("C:\winnt\win.ini")   && Returns .T.
It's not file extension (INI) but something else.
