My understanding is that commercial television will not air any commercials on September 11 and will instead spend the day showing us what happened one-year ago on that date in New York City. I for one will not watch television on that day, as I know what happened and saw more than I care to remember.

Making a spectacle of this event is something I do not enjoy the thought of. This will be cult worship which some will enjoy. It is a way for President Bush to get things he wants by making reference to the event. Commercial television networks and stations will be thought of as super patriotic by some and peddlers of sick morbid horror by others.

If you watch it be sure you bring an ample supply of snacks as you do not want to miss one minute of this scheduled entertainment.
