I'm not saying that VB is not good, it is really good too but it doesn't offer the features and performance that fox does. .Net is good if you're thinking in creating a distributed app (consume web services, you're app running is mobile devices, make use of passport api, etc) but it requires to install the framework, re-write your entire app to support .Net so it's up to you what to choose. In my case, not to offend I think that the two gems of VS .NET are C# and C++ no matter what ppl might say... Fox is great!!!
