A group here was using VFP program with data files on a Novell LAN server 4.x. Networking moved the data files to a 5.1 Novell LAN. Now VFP locks up when started. Networking claims that they did all that was necessary in the upgrade, but this seems to be peculiar to VFP running on the new server. Workstations are a mix of 95, 98, and NT. Does anyone know what can cause this?
I've ran into this a few times and I'm not quite sure what fixed it. I remember updating all Microsoft patches, updating to the latest Novell Client on all machines and changing the DBC/DBF file setting on Novell to multi-user or file sharing of some sort (I don't quite remember the setting)
