I have need to verify the existance of ANY file in a specific folder on a 2000 SQL Server

Issue is generating an email to an ower of a DB in our system when we run across an error in their data. We can generate a text file that describes it. I want to now run an ADIR() for that file so I can email them all of these files at once or one at a time??

I want name, and date/time that is why I mentioned ADIR()

Anyone know how to delete these text files after the fact? Or do a winzip pass to archive and then move.
