I'm glad you got it working. I didn't notice you had the problem with the work area until Viv posted the message to you. Instead of SELECT 0, you can do this:

use table1 in 0
use table2 in 0
use table3 in 0

Part of it, was my mistake in not doing a "select 0" to get a new work area...the other part might ahve been expecting OpenTables to open automatically if AutoOpenTables = .f.
