Microsoft Corporation today announced Microsoft® FoxPro 8 Studio, featuring full support for new and emerging Web Services, integrated model driven development, and preview capabilities for the Microsoft® .NET Framework. Using FoxPro 7 Studio, the estimated one million FoxPro developers can begin developing their skills for .NET and preparing applications for .NET without abandoning their existing work and skills on the Windows® platform. (http://msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/)

Actually the announcement was (from UT home page):

Borland Software Corporation (Nasdaq NM: BORL) today announced Borland® Delphi™ 7 Studio, featuring full support for new and emerging Web Services, integrated model driven development, and preview capabilities for the Microsoft® .NET Framework. Using Delphi 7 Studio, the estimated one million Delphi developers can begin developing their skills for .NET and preparing applications for .NET without abandoning their existing work and skills on the Windows® platform. (http://www.borland.com/delphi/)

Of course I know FoxPro is not a Delphi competitor, VFP is not MS premier development tool (it is called VB), there is a dotNET framework around, you can use the new C# to extend FoxPro capabilities, there are many web enabling add-ons to enhance FoxPro, Toledo will...

What's my point here? Please, just don't ask.
