I believe the problem was solved and thought I would provide the info. It turns out that when the HP stopped printing several other computers lost connection too (of course I was not provided this info). It happens that the HP printer and the same computers are on the same hub (not even a switch). It also happens that the day and time the printer and computers went down was same day that inventory was taken. While taking inventory the hub had to be moved. This hub has one of those 9v converters and of course was pull out of the hub. What I still don't understand is why LP still thought it printed the job. Anyway I think all is solved.
