>Are you giving up on MS? If so will your chose another product which in your opinion, the company may stand behind, for example Borland's Delphi.? Comments?
Nope. We choose C#.Net. While Delphi is better, C# is an overwhelming choice by decision makers i.e. consultants, it managers, software architects.
Reasons:
1. C# is ECMA standard, and so we will be seeing 3rd party compilers of various platforms .
2. C# is java like language which gives us better standing if we need to use another one.
3. C# is being touted as the language of the future and MS strategically positioned it that way.
4. C# has higher profile than any .NET language available today.
5. Most of my colleagues don't know either VB or C, and so starting from scratch might as well go with C#.
