How about a complete new forum, with a name like "Computing in General", and perhaps the following categories:

Hardware

Networking

Viri and security

Programming in general [i.e., not language-specific]

and probably a few more.

("Viri" is the Latin plural of "virus", but most people would prefer "viruses".)
