Yes I went today through this problem
1- check that your ethernet card is properly setup or the connection will not show up you will only get add new connection
2- just continue the setup normally there is no problem is you do not setup the IIS during the first process.
when you feel that everything is ok and you windows 2000 is properly setup
go to control panel / add remove programme and chose add/remove windows components. then chose Internet information services(IIS) click on it and then click details. here it up to you depending what exactly you want such as documentation / file transfer protocol / and other services.
then click ok. you will be required to insert the Windows 2000 CD.
to check and run IIS
1- go to control panel / administrative tools and click on internet information services . add it as a snap in , in the program / administrative tool. after this you need to configure it to work properly.
