>Interesting point Mike. But why is it we are then talking about it in this thread and the "The Decline of VFP" thread. Speculation from the developers? If this is the case, are developers insecure about the future of VFP? As Ken states, VFP is only going to get better and better. Comments?
It keeps getting better but we need more than just upgrades. The very reason why a VFP developer feels insecure is that VFP marketshare is down and it keeps on going down because of lack of marketing. In our area, when VFP is still included in the VS box, VFP is being mentioned in every MS seminars, product launching, etc. Today, totally zero. The impression of IT decision makers, architects is that VFP is being abandoned by MS because of ZERO visibility during seminars. I just came from a product demonstration and one of the IT decision maker asked me if it is true that MS is abandoning VFP? Good thing I was the one who is asked because I was able to explain the real scenario. Henry, no matter how good VFP is, it will not help us much if it is not marketed the way other MS products are marketed.
