Yes, this is a cool idea. I always do that for such purpose. That will make is easier to automate that from VFP as it's easier to get a reference to a form object than a javascript variable. So, within a few lines in VFP, you'll obtain what you want. With the javascript approach, in order to get the hook in VFP, this would have required additional manipulation.
