I do exacly same things as you have described at office computer and at home few times per day in VFP6 sp4 and VFP7 sp1
Result
60% increasing memory
20% same memory
rest almost old
The more strange with activex
like toolbar, etc
there 75% increasing memory
Why I did it
I have get not my application, pretty well written
with source code
It main principe namely addobject
In 10 minutes of using it just die due to memory leak
It did not work with any big table, it did not work with big tables numbers , etc, but something in it eat memory like rabit
