The reason we have to use the common dialog box is because of the help button that appears with the standard putfile getfile functions. These buttons could not be controled or removed. Our QA labeled it as a moderate bug(button that is there and does not do anything or produces a message box syaing "missing help file").

With answers I got here I was able to successfuly implement the common dialog box. It works out perfect.
