I've had a strange situation occur with my Windows 2000 Web Server. Yesterday, I made some changes to a web page using Front Page 2002, and when I attempted to publish them, I had no problem. I was able to log in from my own computer with my user name and password and publish the files. A little while later, another user told me that she could not publish her files. She typed in her user name and password at the login box and when she pressed enter, she got the login box again. She was using the correct username and password. I tried my own user name and password and could not log on as well. I tried the Administrator user name and password and still could not log on. So I tried to publish from my own computer and was unsuccessful as well. I had other users try to publish from their computers and they cannot login either. As far as I know, nothing changed on the server between the time I logged onto it and when the other user attempted to logon/publish to it. I looked at the Web Server, rebooted it several times, replaced the network card, etc. This server is a stand alone. It does not belong to a domain or run active directory. I've just simply created users on the server itself and given them rights so that they can publish from their individual machines (although I'm not in favor of it, I actually had to give them administrative rights in order to accomplish this, but they are not aware of the rights that they have). When I sit down at the web server itself, I can log on to it with any of the user names and passwords that I have set up, although I cannot actually look at files unless I am logged on as the Administrator. The server seems to have connectivity to the network. If anyone has ideas on what I need to do to enable users to be able to logon/publish again, I would appreciate hearing from you...this one has me stumped because nothing was changed.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me,

Lori
