>Upgrading via MSDN Subscriptions is a better value if the you require more than just VFP alone for development.

OK Ken - I can see why it might be better value. However, certain "people" on this forum make their point that MS wants simply wants to get VFP developers to buy MSDN. Same "people" reason that this is just a cynical push by MS to get people out of Fox and into other MS tools. As the VFP upgrade demand appears to have wained, then no new development to VFP can be subsequently justified.

If we bought MSDN, we get VFP and a lot of other stuff too. How exactly does this help VFP's cause? If VFP developers upgrade to v7, then the demand can be quantified. Upgrading via MSDN, the VFP oriented developer's vote for VFP could easily be lost. How do you establish how many MSDN purchases were made by developers whose primary focus is VFP. How can you guarantee to the Fox community that upgrading via MSDN Subscriptions will still count as a vote for VFP?

By the way, I upgraded to VFP7 at the earliest possibility I could ie., as soon as it was available - I will buy VFP8 as soon as it is available. Point being you are preaching to the converted. It just seems that you recommending the MSDN upgrade path somehow vindicates the POV of the "people" referred to herein.

Best
