Sure, they have other things to do. Not everyone can sit on a forum during the day while working, and I would gather that most people don't want to at night after they get home either...

As far as conferences go, I've been a Fox/VFP user and developer since 1994 and I've never been to one conference. Why? Lot's of reasons. Financial mostly but also timing, availability, location, etc.
