Long long ago I heard that when a politician gets a letter on some issue they know they can count on there being at least 1000 others with the same view who didn't bother to write.

As far as the FP/VFP community is concerned, when I was among several (over 10) FP/VFP developers several years ago, I and one other were the only ones who went online (the other only infrequently) for information on FP/VFP and none of us went to conferences.
