Delphi uses Pascal, which is one of my favorite languages.

I didn't move to Delphi, but to Kylix --- same thing, especially if you use the CLX widgets. Then, everything you do on an WinXX platform is easily moved to Linux with little more than some minor changes to some compiler predefines.

I should add, however, that now that KDevelop and QT3 have come to maturity I've jumped from Kylix to those tools. Sorry Borland!
