We were asked for support for the proposition that Delphi/Kylix is on the "up". Surely Awards are a fair part of that perception. Kylix has won both years since it came out.

I might also observe that earlier this year, Kylix was named "most used integrated development environment (IDE)" by Evan Data Corporation. On further investigation, that's based on a survey of a very small number of Linux people. Nevertheless it is reported as a positive for Kylix.

Kylix is definitely presented/perceived as an "up and coming" wonder child.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
