Sorry to hear about all the unpolite e-mail. I remember when I published my
very first newsletter (read only a hundred copies) - I got terse responses from
my FRIENDS! And they were wrong!

Your article was based on an extremely old release of FoxPro. Today's VFP 5.0a
is far better than PowerBuilder and other products - I know, I have built entire
applications from scratch in both - and other languages.

VFP programmers are just very upset because Microsoft does not promote VFP
significantly - or not at all. And the local sales reps do not even know
that VFP is a Microsoft product!!!

So, much of the anger directed to you was just an accumulation of superior
programmers' anger at the best db product (32 bit) not being given it's time
to shine in the spotlight. Having used almost every db product since 1984 I
fell in love with FoxPro as it has few limitations. Not so with other products.
