That will work if all you want to do is shut off the default menu. I hide the screen until everything is done because (IMHO) it looks really ugly on startup if you don't. I also like to throw up a splash screen while I do this (makes it look more 'standard'). Otherwise, you get to watch your menu flash up, your window maximize, your title change from "Visual FoxPro" to whatever you set it to be, etc.
