Hi John !

I think that if VFP7 wouldn't run on WinXP Polish edition you would not have problems (it is probably not the case of WinXP US edition)

I hope I do something wrong. I hope so in the past (in VFP6 disapeared set collate to "polish" option in Windows Polish editions ) but I did things right and VFP6 (till SP3) did not. Maybe You (I mean VFP team) simply need an beta tester in Poland).

Additional info:
1. Anti-viral software is not running
2. I use VFP7 SP1 english
3. WinXP (no service pack installed)

Thanks all for informations.

>>I have an VFP7 application that runs on Win2000 and Win98 whithout problems.
>>On WinXP (Polish edition) the app shows strange errors. For example "record is used by another" when there are no other users and no other instances of the application. I check this on two machines with WinXP and both show the same strange errors. The errors arises while programaticly changing a textbox value. Controls source of the textbox is a chararacter field in new record of an optimistic (5) buffered table.
