Hi there folks... wow! VB6 miles ahead of VFP, sounds interesting but I don't think so. I'll tell you some interesting facts about this topic. First, VB6 is not an OOP development environment but event oriented, the only class definition we find in VB6 is when we wanna create a COMponent, VB6 doesn't allow inheritance (this subject is necessary for a development tool to be considered OO). In the other hand, VFP since version 3 has allowed developer create classes (programatically & visually) it allows inheritance, members and properties visibility, etc. Fox ain't fully OOP either but it is closer to be one in comparison to VB6. Some of the features introduced VB .NET were available to Fox developers since 1995 and now it is for VB developers 6 years later, interesting, ah? Even though nor VB .NET or VFP are fully OO 'cause not even c++ is. Languages such as Java, Smalltalk are. I think they all have good and bad things and it's up to everyone "unleash" their full capabilties... regards
