First of all, Diamonds could not be green, we discussed it already. They are probably emeralds. And secondly, as Mike Asherman said, they are measure of good merits :)

It's also a test for IE literacy :) If you can not guess by yourself to hover mouse over them, may be you need a summer vacation :)
