I appreciate the job you're doing. I read with interest that the VFP people hadn't been upgrading at the same rate? perhaps in the studio package as other languages. I can certainly see Microsoft's point there. I'm glad you communicated that. Perhaps a disproportionately high percentage of the VFP community is financially damaged by market conditions and perhaps that accounts for the slow upgrade rate. But the lesson is we vfp people should get the studio if we can.
But 90% of us agree it is a great product. The IT managers with the computer science degrees who may not wish to hire vfp talent can have their opinions. We can still write software for the custom niches in the market we know and sell it direct to businesses. Many are doing it. And also, some VFP programmers are very productive and getting more so all the time. Putting powerful tools in our hands is a good long-term investment for Microsoft regardless of how some market conditions appear now.
