Is Base1.MyControls(0).Caption working? The first syntax you wrote here were not specyfying the Caption property. If you don't write it, the compiler will not know which property to use. Unless you have created a default properties (using the Procedure attributes) which in this case, the compiler takes the default in none is specified.
