Has anyone else installed the latest patch for SQL Server 2000 per security bulletin MS02-043? I'm running the following version:

Microsoft SQL Server  2000 - 8.00.194 (Intel X86) 
	Aug  6 2000 00:57:48 
	Copyright (c) 1988-2000 Microsoft Corporation
	Standard Edition on Windows NT 5.0 (Build 2195: Service Pack 2)

After following instructions for 'Standard Hotfix' and trying to start SQL Server again I get 1053 error, indicating it could not start the service.

If I revert back to the original .exe instead of replacing it, it starts. Anyway I reverted the whole patch rather than just part of it.

Just curious if anyone else has had the same problem or similar.
