Very well stated, Chris.
To wit: MS is a business, not an advocacy group. VFPs success is measured in VFP and/or MSDN license sales. All of us here on the team are cheerleaders for Fox, of course. We love VFP. When I see people beating up on Ken it really pisses me off, because Ken has accomplished a lot both visible and behind the scenes to promote Fox.
The burdon of the long-term health of Fox is on you, the customer, and not on Ken Levy. Buy and promote the product. Certainly, there are situations where VFP is not optimal. In those situations, look long and hard at .Net.
>I have seen quite a few threads here recently, complaining about how corrupt Microsoft is, and/or how Microsoft is trying to kill VFP. These complaints have been going on for sometime. I have a very simple solution for everyone complaining: go to Linux/Borland/Oracle, whatever. There are obviously alternatives out there.

>By continuing to support Microsoft by giving them your $, then turning round and complaing about how immoral they are, or how they aren't promoting VFP enough, you are coming across as hypocrites.
>
>By the way, Ken Levy is doing a great job promoting VFP.
