Hello Kjell, thanks for this handy tip. However, my memo fields themselves dont include these format characters. When the Report form ASCII is used to send to a text file, then the fields have the carriage returns added. Ive tried setting memowidth to a high number. This does improve the report a bit - but does not solve the problem. Denis
