>Ken's a fine fellow, and he's not the problem. He just does what he is told. If you know something about MS and the UN then let us in on it! :-)

I can't. I click through the EULA on the Microsoft-U.N. colloboration, and I am sworn to secrecy.

I went to the pages you cited on Slashdot. Nowhere did I find any portion of a Microsoft EULA. I did find the copy of the letter from Microsoft not wanting their copyrighted material posted. Was their some part of the EULA that prevents people from criticizing Microsoft? If so, you haven't provided it.

>Then you would do what I am doing! Glad to hear it.

No Jerry, you have not. You are citing posts of what others have written. You have not posted any example Microsoft EULAs. When you come up with one, you let know.

>The why are 95% of the new PCs sold with WinXX? Why did Dell have to pull the FreeDOS sidestep, which Microsoft will most certainly find a way to punish?

Could it be because Micrsoft convinced the public that Windows is the best OS? Wasn't Unix supposed to be a better OS? Well, the different Unix vendors couldn't get their acts together in the 1980s and early 90s before Windows ruled. What about OS/2 from IBM, the alleged monopoly of the 1970s? Microsoft beat them too.

>With some effort. Mom and Pop and millions of computer illiterates don't have a choice. I had to roll my own box to avoid paying the Microsoft tax. I should have been able to simply purchase a BOX from Dell or any other vendor and then buy the OS I wanted without have to pay for one I didn't want. That is a monoply in action.

They do have a choice, and have for some time.
