I am thinking it may perhaps be some memory allocation problem. There is stacks of memory around. I have come across this "slow problem" on another NT setup. Denis
With this size of DB, I would also suspect query optimization. Perhaps the problems manifest themselves only on machines that happen to have, e.g., a slow network connection, for some reason.
