In the U.S. it depends on the metropolitan area you are in, the competition, and the availability in your area. Here in my area, DSL and cablemodem run average 39.99/month. It's pretty fast though on both unless you are on DSL and too far away from the switch. You can get 90 day specials for 29.99/month but it typically goes up to 39.99 a month after the 90 day period. I don't know what it runs in other locations here in the U.S., but I've heard even more expensive. I would never go back to dialup though after having cablemodem at home and ISDN, T1, and then T3 at work!
