Hi Ken,
ASSUMING: a giant scoreboard at Microsoft with numbers clicking over every time a unit is sold.
If the attention Microsoft gives VFP is directly related to VFP sales, isn't the following true?
MSDN Upgrade
+1 VFP 7
+1 VB.NET
+1 ASP.NET
+1 C#.NET
...
VFP Solo Upgrade
+1 VFP 7
0 VB.NET
0 C#.NET
0 ASP.NET
0 ...
Upgrading to MSDN wouldn't be the wave of change, but rather the tide that lifts all boats. Doesn't this make the marketing tied to sales point very close to moot? I'm not one to make decisions based on the messages they send, but if I was, I'd upgrade to VFP7 solo THEN subscribe to MSDN when the feeling passes and I come to my senses.
Just my .02
