I should explain a bit more. It's actually a cursor built from information received through a comm port. It's basically an info dump from a scale and is supposed to display a report. The data is not necessary after the report is completed, however.
There would be no SQL string to pass in this case since the info is coming across one character at a time and built into a cursor. The cursor is fine, except that it appears to get closed while the report is still open with the "nowait" command.
I have to use the nowait command because while they are displaying the report, a truck might be weighing in or out and the system is supposed to record that data as it comes across.
